2010 Venango Co. Top Gun Awards presented to officers in Venango County whom have made at least 12 DUI arrests for 2010.

The top award for DUI arrests from all municipal police departments was awarded to Lt. Baker of Sugarcreek Borough Police Department who made 27  DUI arrests.

 The top award for DUI arrests from the Pennsylvania State Police, Franklin  Barracks, was awarded to Tpr. Lindenberg who made 19 DUI arrests.
 
 
 

The Borough of Sugarcreek Police Department received an award from the County of Venango STOP Violence Against Women Coalition for Exemplary Service to Crime Victims in Venango County. The award was only given to 165 departments out of the 12,000 + municipal police departments in Pennsylvania.

Police Awards Presented
 
The Venango County STOP Violence Against Women Coalition and the county DUI Task Force held their fourth annual awards ceremony to recognize outstanding service to victims by local law enforcement officers, police agencies and victim service advocates.
 
The Venango County criminal justice community recognizes individuals each year who demonstrate outstanding service to the community and noteworthy support to victims of crime.
 
The Outstanding Service to Crime Victims Award for law enforcement was presented to:
  • Lt. Ryan Ashbaugh, Sugarcreek Borough Police Department
  • Sgt. Steven Hamilton, Oil City Police Department
  • Trooper Steve Ulintz, Franklin State Police Barracks
The Outstanding Service to Crime Victims Award for advocates was presented to three local victim service providers:
  • Rachel Hornberger, Venango County Children and Youth Services caseworker
  • Assistant District Attorney James Carbone
  • Sheryl Brock, Venango County Juvenile Victim/Witness coordinator
The DUI Top Gun Awards were presented by Robert Daugherty, director of Court Supervision Services, to the police officers who had the most DUI arrests in 2009:
  • Trooper Shawn Armagost, Franklin State Police Barracks
  • Lt. Richard O. Goldsmith, Franklin Police Department
  • Patrolman Jonathan Love, Oil City Police Department
Four other officers were recognized for DUI enforcement, having made 12 or more arrests:
  • Officer Frederick Myers, Franklin Police Department
  • Trooper Dennis R. Lindenberg, Franklin State Police Barracks
  • Trooper Jason, K. Sider, Franklin State Police Barracks
  • Trooper William T. Heasley, Franklin State Police Barracks
