****NOTICE OF LATERAL REPLACEMENT****
Recently, there have been instances in which some elderly residents have been taken advantage of and have been charged a much higher amount than what the average lateral replacement should cost. The Borough is to be contacted first to get the proper paperwork and procedures. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact the Borough as well.

8/10/11
Sugarcreek Borough Police Dept along w/ the Venango County Sheriffs Dept participated in a bike safety program that was held at the Grace United Methodist Church on Front Street, Village of Rocky Grove.  The program was sponsored by the Venango County Safe Kids Coalition, a branch of the PA
Department of Health.

During the event local children were taught bike safety, traversed a safety bike course, had their bikes inspected, had minor repairs made to their bikes and each child that did not have a bicycle safety helmet was provided with one free of charge.

The Venango County Safe Kids Coalition at the end of the program provided our police department with approx 15 bicycle helmets that are to be provided to local children in the Borough that do not currently have a bicycle
helmet.

If you are a Borough resident and your child needs a bicycle helmet please stop by the police station Mon - Thurs 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Remember it is the parents responsibility to be sure any child 12 years of age or younger is wearing a bicycle helmet.  Violation of the PA Vehicle Code section 3510 A, Pedalcycle Helmets for Certain Persons, can carry a fine of $10.00 plus costs.
